carpal tunnel syndrome

Glossary definition--

carpal tunnel syndrome
(CTS) A painful progressive condition caused by compression of nerves in the wrist. Thickening of irritated tendons or other swelling (including lymphedema) narrows the tunnel and causes pressure on the median nerve.
