The Comprehensive Cancer Support Program Program, which is a division of the University of North Carolina Department of Physical Therapy, is located at the Carolina Point II. Here qualified lymphedema therapists provide appropriate lymphedema treatment as needed.

Before treatment can be started the patient must have their physician FAX a prescription to the OT/PT department of the main hospital at 919 966-0348.

After this FAXED prescription has been received, the patient must telephone 919 966-2056 to schedule their initial appointment.

The patient’s treatment is provided at Carolina Pointe II by a qualified lymphedema therapist. Once the patient has had their initial appointment, they will be scheduled for further appointments. The telephone number for follow-up appointments is 919-957-6600 and the therapists are happy to answer the patient questions.

At 1 PM, on the first Wednesday of every month, patients are invited to attend a lymphedema screening, and to attended free classes on lymphedema precautions and prevention. These classes at presented at Carolina Pointe II.
